These terms apply to your use of summitmovinghouston.com and to any estimate you request through it. By using the site, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
These terms are not your moving contract
Your move itself is governed by the written estimate, order for service and bill of lading you sign with us, together with the law that applies to household goods carriers. Where anything on this page differs from that paperwork, the paperwork controls.
Who we are
Summit Moving is a household goods moving company based at 5410 Trafalgar Dr Ste. D, Houston, TX 77045, operating under USDOT No. 3532855 and MC No. 1659205, and registered with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles for intrastate household goods moves.
What this website is
This site describes our services and the areas we cover, and lets you ask for a moving estimate. It is a starting point for a conversation, not a booking system.
Estimates and quotes
Submitting the booking form is a request, not a reservation. Nothing is booked until we confirm it with you directly.
Any figure we give in response to a web form is preliminary. Real pricing depends on what is actually being moved, access at both ends, stairs and lifts, parking, and the date. Binding numbers appear on our written estimate paperwork, not on this website.
The information you give us has to be accurate and complete. An estimate built on a wrong address, an understated home size or an undisclosed flight of stairs will not survive moving day, and the price will change accordingly.
How we will contact you
When you submit the booking form you are asking us to get in touch, and you agree we may reply by phone or email about the service you requested. If you tick the optional text message box, you also agree we may reach you by text, including automated texts. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to any text to opt out. How we handle what you send us is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
When using this site, please do not:
- Submit someone else's details, or a booking request you have no intention of honouring
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to, overload, or probe any part of the site
- Scrape, harvest or copy the site's content for a competing service
- Use the site to send spam, malware or anything unlawful
- Misrepresent who you are or your association with any person or organisation
We may refuse service to, or stop responding to, anyone doing these things.
Intellectual property
The text, layout, logo and photographs on this site belong to Summit Moving or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may read, print and share pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not republish them as your own or use them commercially without our written permission.
Links to other sites
Where we link somewhere else, we do so because we think it is useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or their privacy practices.
Availability and accuracy
We work to keep this site accurate and available, but we do not promise it will always be either. Service descriptions, coverage areas and any indicative prices can change, and pages can be out of date or briefly unavailable. The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Summit Moving is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of this website, such as a lost opportunity because a page was unavailable or out of date.
What this does not limit
Nothing in this section limits our responsibility for your move itself, for loss of or damage to your goods, or anything else covered by your moving paperwork and by the law that applies to household goods carriers. Claims about a move are handled under that paperwork and under applicable federal and Texas law, not under this page.
Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable costs if we face a claim because you used this site in breach of these terms or in breach of the law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute about this website will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Harris County, Texas, and you agree to that venue.
If part of these terms does not hold
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and the version published here is the one that applies to your use of the site.
