1) It Starts With a Phone Call

Once you are content with how everything works, the relocation specialist will then set up an appointment with one of our moving consultants. Our moving consultants are our business experts that will provide you with an honest and accurate estimate for the job. It is important to note that the estimate is provided free of charge and that you are not obligated in any way to use our services after it is given.
On the day of the appointment, the consultant will do an on-site survey of your current location to take inventory of everything you will bring with you. They will also discuss the need for any additional moving services you may require, such as moving supplies, packing, and unpacking by our team, or the possibility of acquiring any storage space for your belongings.

2) Let’s Get Your Move on the Books
Once you are pleased with your estimate, the next step is to schedule your move with Summit. As previously mentioned, our team can come over and pack your belongings for you. If this is a service that you require, we will schedule a date prior to you moving for this job.
We recommend scheduling your move at least 4 weeks prior to your expected date. This gap will give us adequate time to make sure we hit your desired move out day and time precisely. After everything is calendered, we still encourage you to give us a call to clarify any covered information or updates.
3) Moving Day
The day you have been waiting for has finally arrived. Our moving team will be at your home bright and early to get the move underway. All your belongings will be packed up in an expedient and efficient manner. Once we have packed the last box, our team will then prep your home for moving the boxes out to the truck.
We will lay floor coverings, place padding around doorways and wall-corners, and will even use rug-runners on staircases to make sure no damage is done to your home. After the last box is loaded up, we will advise one more walkthrough to make sure nothing you need to be moved is left behind. Then, it is on to your new location.
Depending on the distance between locations, as well as how much is being moved, we could knock out both packing and unloading on the same day. However, if the move requires more time than we have in the day, we will contact you 24 hours before with an ETA for the destination.
